Meeting Notes: February 17th

 There was discussion about adding images and descriptions to provide the user with a better explanation of the criteria question. This will be helpful for users who are unsure of what the question is asking. There was also discussion of adding the images and description to every criteria rather than just having certain criteria’s with the information logo beside them. There was also discussion on whether the user should have to click on the criteria in order to have the extra information pop up or whether it should automatically pop up when the user hovers over the criteria. It was decided that we would look into this more later on in the design since we need to get the criteria list ready to go first.

 We began going through the criteria list as a group to ensure that the questions were clear, effective and objective. Many of the team members had different points of views on what questions should be grouped together and what questions should be removed. We decided to stop before getting too far and made teams to perform the discovery activity. Once the discovery activities are finished, we will go through the criteria list together and make the changes based on our findings from the discovery.

 The original plan was to eliminate as many of the N/A boxes from the criteria list for instances when the user can ONLY answer yes or no. After talking through many different examples, it appears to be a lot harder to eliminate the N/A box since there can always be an example with an exception. We will keep the N/A boxes for now and determine what to do with them after the discovery activity once the survey has been tested for different types of locations.

 There was talk about having different surveys with different criteria’s for each of the location categories. This came up due to the fact that certain locations will have a lot of N/A’s checked off. An example of this would be a park and the survey section on elevators. Since most parks will not have elevators on the premise, the user will need to check off N/A for all of those questions. This could be hard to implement since there will always be locations that hold exceptions.
