Assistant Rewrite and Improve

The "Rewrite & Improve" assistant rewrites a text in a style you choose and improves it, including its spelling and grammar. It doesn't add information, and it returns only the improved text.

How to use it

1. Open "Assistants" → "Rewrite & Improve".
2. Paste the text into "Your input to improve", or load it with "Load text from file".
3. Choose the options you need:
   • "Language": the language whose rules the assistant follows. This doesn't translate the text. With "Do not specify the language", the assistant uses the language of the text.
   • "Writing style": for example, "Business (business emails, reports, presentations)", "Scientific (scientific papers, research reports)", or "Technical (manuals, documentation)". "Not specified" keeps the style of your text. "Changelog (release notes, version history)" turns the text into a list of changes in the past tense.
   • "Sentence structure": "Active voice" or "Passive voice".
4. Choose a provider, and click "Improve your text".

The result

Like the Grammar & Spelling assistant, it shows a comparison of your text with the new one, with inserted, deleted, and moved text marked in color, and the improved text below. If the text needs no changes, it comes back unchanged.

Options

In "Assistant: Rewrite & Improve Text Options", "Preselect rewrite & improve text options?" lets you start with your preferred language, writing style, sentence structure, and provider.

Tips

• How well the assistant rewrites depends on the model. Compare a few models for your kind of texts.
• To change only mistakes and leave the wording alone, use Grammar & Spelling.
