Stone Press
Stone Press is the early game press that can turn some soft or crushed fruits and berries into juices and oils, employing lever and weight.
Stone Press uses the Saddle Quern with a Pressing Stone instead of a Handstone.
Place a solid block behind the base and a Rough Stone Bricks, Stone Bricks, Bricks block or Wattle and Daub to anchor the lever on top and then right click the top of the Pressing Stone when holding at least four Seasoned Peeled Logs forming the lever. At last, the Weigh Stone needs to be placed under the free hanging end of the lever.
Two ropes are needed to make the Stone Press operational. Click the Weight Stone when holding a rope to neatly bind it. Then click the lever above the Weight Stone to attach the tied Weight Stone to the lever.
Doing so starts the pressing operation. Right click the part of the lever where the Weight Stone is attached with an empty hand to detach the Weight Stone and retrieve the rope, which stops the pressing operation.
Similarly, the rope that binds the Weigh Stone can be retrieved when it is on the ground.
You can acquire a Pressing Stone and a Weight Stone by Carving a Rough Stone block using an Adze.

The space right in front of the Stone Press should be occupied by a large vessel, into which the liquid output will be collected. The process will pause if the vessel fills up or when it is removed.
A complete Stone Press during operation should look a lot like this.

Right click the Saddle Quern when holding an item you want to press to place it into the input slot. More then one item can be placed at a time as long as the items are the same type, and can form a stack, up to a full stack.
The item that is being pressed will show up behind the Pressing Stone. Right click the item with empty hand while sneaking to retrieve it.
Input item can only be added or removed when the Stone Press is idle, i.e. only when the Weight Stone is detached from the lever.
The Stone Press can make juices from the following fruits and berries:
- Berries
- Grapes
- Many other soft fruits
Some harder fruits can be pressed only after they have been crushed using a Saddle Quern:
- Crushed apple
- Crushed olive
- Stone Press continues to press when the player sleeps or leaves the area, much unlike the classic TFC Stone Hopper press.
- Ropes required to operate the Stone Press can be made from Bark Fiber if conventional material is not available.
- Compared to the classic TFC hopper press, the Stone Press is 80% as efficient, which means more input is consumed to produce 1 unit of liquid. The efficiency can be changed in the configuration.
- The Stone Press operates at half the speed of the classic TFC hopper press.
- The Stone Press will accept food stuffs that have been cooked, but not if they have been processed in other ways (such as brined or pickled).
- In the real world, a stone press of such design and apparent proportions would enjoy roughly a 6:1 mechanical advantage.
