Description

Composite tools represent tools made from stone heads and other material, typically stick, bone or pole, held together with a binding material.

Recipes

To craft a composite tool, add binding material to the original TFC stone tool recipe.

Binding

Dependind on what kind of binding is used, composite tools get a durability and dig speed bonus, in very much the same way as Smithing Bonus works.

Bidning Bonus
Grass cordage 10%
Sinew 50%
Bark cordage 100%
String 100%

TFC Compatibility

By default, original stone tool recipes are not removed, and the player can craft stone tools with or without binding.

Set the value of Crafting.removeOriginalStoneToolRecipes to true to prevent player from being able to craft stone tools without binding.

Notes

  • A Hand Axe can be crafted prior to crafting composite tools to help harvest straw, sticks and perform other tasks.
