I'm a student at the National University of Singapore studying Computer Engineering and pursuing a specialization in Internet of Things (IoT). My GitHub profile showcases some of the projects I've undertaken over the years, both in and out of modules taken. I previously interned at DSO National Laboratories as a Cybersecurity Research Analyst. I completed an exchange semester at Korea University and I am on my last year of study! I am trying to expand my knowledge in the Internet-of-Things as well as the area of Communications & Networking.
I primarily work in C/C++ as well as Python, and am familiar with working in Linux environments. I have also dabbled in SDN programming - OpenFlow (Ryu), P4, BIRD.
I started my programming journey during my time in the Army (conscripted), taking a basic course on Python and Data Analysis. Since then, I've become more and more interested in learning how to use code and programs to do tasks, and now I'm pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering to improve my skills in both the software and hardware department! I enjoy picking up new skills, and I am looking to make personalized electronics that I can use in my daily life. I'm currently looking a repurposing an old laptop webcam to be used as a USB webcam!
In my free time, I am learning Korean as a third language. It's a really fun language (albeit tough) to learn, but I enjoy speaking with locals whenever I am in the country / meet them here in Singapore (rather than just the basic ์๋ ํ์ธ์ [annyeonghaseyo: Hello] that we all pick up). I hope to become more fluent in the language!
