perf(swipe): warm workspace swipe previews from settled frames - #1054
WorkspaceSwipePresentation.warmPreviews runs after every completed layout effect plan so a swipe finds its captures ready. it built the source workspace the same way the gesture does: inside withEngineMutationScope, which commits a world event on exit, and with controller.liveFrame(for:) per window, which is a SkyLight bounds query each. a sample of 20 focus plus workspace switch round trips on a Dev build put 30 main thread samples under makePreparation from the warm path, 13 of them in the live frame reads, with no swipe anywhere in sight.
Result
the warm path takes the projected frames straight from the layout handlers and skips the live reads and the mutation scope. that is enough for what the warm does: pick the windows that intersect the working frame and request capture sizes. the capture cache is keyed by window handle and token, and the gesture still rebuilds the preparation with live frames when it actually starts (makePreparation(monitorId:liveFrames:) defaults to true), so the swipe itself is unchanged.
the projection reads carry no sanction check, so the scope is dropped from makeWorkspace entirely rather than kept for the gesture path.
Verification
testWarmingPreviewsUsesSettledFramesWithoutCommittingWorldEvents in WorkspaceSwipePresentationTests: with a live frame that differs from the settled one, asserts worldSeq is unchanged across warmPreviews() and that the first capture stream requests the settled width, not the live one.
swift test --filter 'WorkspaceSwipePresentationTests|WorkspaceSwipePreviewWarmupTests': 32 tests, 0 failures.
three mutants killed, each by a different assertion: warm passing liveFrames: true, liveFrames ignored (let live = active), mutation scope put back.
swiftformat --lint clean, swiftlint 0 new warnings against main.
Dev rebuild with this change plus perf(surface): skip ordering out a parking edge fin that is already hidden #1053, same 20x loop under sample <pid> 12 1: warmPreviews/makePreparation 30 main thread samples -> 0, main thread SkyLight.getWindowBounds 22 -> 3. a real three finger swipe on that build was not timed separately; the gesture path is untouched apart from the removed scope.

Bug Fixes
Workspace swipe previews now use settled layout dimensions during warmup, providing more accurate preview sizing without changing the current workspace state.
Preview preparation now uses projected or resolved window positions when live frames are not needed, helping previews reflect the intended workspace layout.
warmPreviews runs after every completed layout effect plan so a swipe
finds its captures ready. it built the source workspace the same way the
gesture does: inside withEngineMutationScope, which commits a world event
on exit, and with controller.liveFrame(for:) per window, which is a
SkyLight bounds query each. a sample of 20 focus plus workspace switch
round trips on Dev put 30 main thread samples under makePreparation from
the warm path, 13 of them in the live frame reads, with no swipe anywhere
in sight.
the warm only needs frames to decide which windows intersect the working
frame and what size to request; the capture cache is keyed by window
handle and token, and the gesture rebuilds the preparation with live
frames when it actually starts. let the warm path take the projected
frames straight from the layout handlers and skip the live reads. the
projection reads need no sanction, so drop the mutation scope from
makeWorkspace entirely.

Walkthrough
Workspace preview preparation now supports settled-frame selection. Preview warm-up uses settled frames, while live preparation keeps its default live-frame behavior. Tests check the frame widths, capture width, and worldSeq.

Summary
Live and settled frame selection Sources/OmniWM/Core/Controller/WorkspaceSwipePresentation+Geometry.swift
makePreparation and makeWorkspace accept a liveFrames option. When live frames are disabled or the workspace is inactive, floating windows use resolved frames and tiled windows use projected frames where available.
warmPreviews disables live frames. The test checks settled and live frame widths, the rounded-up warm-up capture width, and that worldSeq remains unchanged.
OmniNull/OmniWM#954: Changes the same warm-up path and preparation contract, including chained source workspace resolution.

Swipe previews may briefly appear distorted, and a floating window without stored geometry can prevent preview warming. These are bounded presentation and performance issues; merging is reasonable with owner awareness and follow-up.

Skip only the floating window that lacks a stored frame during warm-up.
During warm-up, makeWorkspace uses resolvedFloatingFrame for active floating windows, because live is false. A floating window admitted without an observed frame has no stored floating state, so resolvedFloatingFrame returns nil. The nil-frame guard is inside the per-entry loop and returns nil for the whole workspace. makePreparation then returns nil, and warmPreviews skips warm-up for the source workspace and its neighbors.
Skip that entry instead. The other windows in the workspace keep their settled frames. Do not add an AX read in this path, because that would reintroduce the reads this change removes.
Suggested fix
if entry.mode == .floating {
frame = live ? controller.liveFrame(for: entry)
: controller.workspaceManager.resolvedFloatingFrame(for: entry.token, preferredMonitor: monitor)
+ if frame == nil, active, !liveFrames { continue }
} else if let projected = frames[entry.token] {
The condition active && !liveFrames limits the skip to warm-up of the source workspace. Inactive neighbor workspaces and calls with liveFrames set to true keep their current behavior.

Check cached preview aspect before drawing a warm-up preview.
Warm-up caches previews from settled frames (WorkspaceSwipePresentation+Geometry.swift:13). begin accepts a cached preview when its token matches. It does not compare sizes (WorkspaceSwipePreview.swift:190-192). The preview layer uses .resize gravity with the full contentsRect (WorkspaceSwipePreview.swift:39-41). If the settled and live aspect ratios differ, the cached image is distorted until the asynchronous live capture from prepare replaces it.
Rejecting the entry in begin is not enough by itself. A false result skips prepare, so no live-size capture is requested. Warm-up also skips handles that already have a preview. The mismatched entry would stay cached, and later gestures would fall back. A correction must also let that entry refresh at live size. Compare aspect ratio with a tolerance. The effective size is surface.width * contentsRect.width by surface.height * contentsRect.height. Do not compare exact pixel dimensions with captureRequest(backingScale:), because the capture output size is not established to match the request.
