perf(surface): skip ordering out a parking edge fin that is already hidden - #1053
every full surface reconcile reapplies the parking edge masks, and a mask with no navigation target hides its fin. ParkingEdgeFinWindow.hide() called orderOut(nil) on a fin that was never shown or was already hidden. in a probe app that costs microseconds; inside OmniWM it runs a full AppKit window ordering transaction against the WindowServer each time.
a sample of 20 focus plus workspace switch round trips on a Dev build put 29 main thread samples (about 3% of the busy main thread) under that orderOut.
Result
a fin is only ordered out when it is visible. the dwell progress still resets either way. nothing changes in configuration or behaviour, the main thread just stops paying for no-op hides on every reconcile.
Verification
testHidingAHiddenFinDoesNotOrderItOutAgain in ParkingEdgeMaskTests: counts NSWindowDidOrderOffScreenAndFinishAnimatingNotification on the fin window, which AppKit posts even for a hidden window and not for a guarded one. fails on main (1 notification), passes with the guard (0).
swift test --filter ParkingEdge: 25 tests, 0 failures.
mutant with the guard removed is killed by that test.
the same test also arms a dwell (setProgress(duration: 1.5)), hides, and asserts the parkingEdge.dwell animation is gone, so the guard cannot drift above finView.reset(). mutant with finView.reset() removed from hide() is killed.
swiftformat --lint clean, swiftlint 0 new warnings against main.
The parking edge fin now resets consistently when hidden, even if it is already hidden, helping prevent stale visual state when shown again. Hiding a visible fin still dismisses it.
Tests
Added coverage for resetting the fin when hidden and for dismissing it only when it is visible.

ParkingEdgeFinWindow.hide() now resets the fin view before checking whether the window is visible. A test checks dwell-animation cancellation and order-out notifications when hiding hidden and visible windows.
Changes: Parking edge fin hide behavior
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Reset on hide and verify visibility behavior Sources/OmniWM/Core/Surface/ParkingEdgeFin.swift, Tests/OmniWMTests/ParkingEdgeMaskTests.swift
hide() resets the fin view before the visibility check. The test checks dwell-animation cancellation and verifies that an initially hidden window emits no order-out notification, hiding a shown window emits one, and hiding it again emits no additional notification.
Hidden fins retain their progress reset while avoiding redundant order-out calls. Only an optional regression-test assertion remains; no merge-blocking issue is established.

testHidingAHiddenFinDoesNotOrderItOutAgain never arms dwell progress. As a result, it would still pass if reset() were removed from hide(), or moved below the isVisible guard. Arm progress before the first hide() call, while the window is still hidden, and assert that the progress state is cleared.

Update testHidingAHiddenFinDoesNotOrderItOutAgain to call fin.setProgress while
the window is hidden before invoking fin.hide(), then assert that the progress
state is cleared; retain the assertion that the hidden window is not ordered out
again.

hide() resets the fin view before the isVisible guard so an armed dwell
animation is dropped even when there is nothing to order out. nothing
asserted that, so the guard could have moved above the reset unnoticed.
hide() calls reset(), which calls setProgress(duration: nil) and sets strokeEnd to 0. The new assertions check only that the dwell animation is removed. A change that removes the dwell animation but leaves strokeEnd at 1 still passes. For example, changing the strokeEnd assignment in setProgress(duration:) leaves the model value at 1 after hide(). Capture the armed layer before hide(), then assert its strokeEnd afterward. The layer must be typed as CAShapeLayer, because strokeEnd is not declared on CALayer.
The current code is correct. This is a coverage gap.

Review comment at @Tests/OmniWMTests/ParkingEdgeMaskTests.swift at line 254:
Update the dwell test to capture the armed dwell layer as a CAShapeLayer before
calling hide(), then assert that the dwell animation is removed and the captured
layer’s strokeEnd is 0 afterward. Keep the assertions focused on the existing
hide() behavior.
