Migration from other Petkit integration

If you're currently using the RobertD502/home-assistant-petkit or hasscc/petkit please note that a clean reinstall is required. Devices and entities from the previous integration are not compatible with this new version.

🚀 Migration Process

Migration Steps

1. Remove the old integration completely from Home Assistant (including devices, entities, and configuration).

2. Restart Home Assistant to ensure all remnants of the old integration are fully cleared.

3. Install this integration as a fresh new setup.

4. Restart Home Assistant again to apply all changes.

5. Configure the integration normally. Credentials (username, password, region) must be entered again.

This process guarantees a clean environment and avoids duplicated devices or broken entities.
