Walkthrough

The pull request adds installed-app-aware renewal, scheduling and profile-management controls, and a web IPA inspection and installation flow. It also adds Wi-Fi archive installation, localized dashboard behavior, UI checks, and native multi-platform image publishing.

Changes: Renewal and Profile Management

Layer / File(s) Summary
Profile grouping and app views
src/profile.rs, src/web.rs, src/web/index.html, README.md
Profiles for host apps and extensions are grouped using bundle identifiers. Web state and the dashboard display group members and use the earliest-expiring member when calculating urgency.
Installed-app-aware renewal
src/main.rs, src/phone.rs, src/web.rs, src/web/index.html, README.md
CLI and web renewal support bundle selection and installed-app filtering. Renewal considers grouped profiles, reports missing App IDs, and exposes per-app renewal actions and previews.
Scheduler, retries, and notifications
src/web.rs, src/web/index.html, README.md
The web service adds a persisted KST schedule, retry tracking, and optional Discord notifications. The dashboard adds controls and status for these settings.
Profile removal, restoration, and cleanup
src/main.rs, src/profile.rs, src/web.rs, src/web/index.html, README.md
Profile removal validates and backs up profiles. The web service adds verified backup restoration and scheduled cleanup of eligible expired backups.
Localized dashboard and refresh behavior
src/web/index.html, src/web.rs, docs/KOREAN_UI_REVIEW.md
The dashboard adds Korean and English text, stores the language choice, and applies request timeouts and queued refreshes. The server adds public PNG icons.

IPA Inspection and Installation

Layer / File(s) Summary
IPA inspection and signing options
vendor/isideload/src/sideload/application.rs, vendor/isideload/src/sideload/sideloader.rs, src/apple.rs, src/web.rs, src/web/index.html, Cargo.toml, README.md
The install flow inspects IPA contents, supports extension selection and optional display-name or bundle-ID changes, and passes those choices into signing. The web interface provides the inspection and confirmation steps.
Wi-Fi archive installation
src/install_archive.rs, src/phone.rs, src/main.rs, Dockerfile, README.md
On supported Unix configurations, Wi-Fi installation packages the signed app as a temporary IPA and installs it through RSD staging. The directory-based path remains available through the environment setting.

Image Publishing and UI Checks

Layer / File(s) Summary
Dashboard validation checks
scripts/check-web-ui.cjs, .github/workflows/docker.yml
The new script checks dashboard syntax, controls, layout, installation-panel behavior, and refresh handling. Linux and Windows test jobs run it.
Native multi-platform image publishing
.github/workflows/docker.yml
The workflow builds amd64 and arm64 images on native runners, collects their digests, and creates and inspects a multi-platform manifest after both builds succeed.

Merge Risk: Moderate · up to f11b8

The image publishing workflow will most likely fail on pushes and tags in this repository because the image name contains uppercase letters, so no multi-platform image can be released until it is fixed. The other issues are minor: expired-backup cleanup can stall on one unreadable file, IPA inspection can buffer more data than intended, and a failed Wi-Fi upload can leave a partial file on the phone. Fix the image name before merging.

Lowercase the image name before publishing.

When this workflow runs in BartolomeoRusso9/altkeeper, github.repository puts uppercase letters in the new image output name. Docker rejects uppercase repository names, so the architecture builds cannot publish their digests. The manifest command at Line 159 uses the same unnormalized name. Define one lowercase image name and use it for both the build outputs and manifest references. The previous tagged build used metadata-action tags, which lowercase image names automatically. Distinguish USB and Wi-Fi installation paths.

The Korean text matches the English source, but it is too broad. USB-connected phones use the USB installer. Wi-Fi-connected phones use either IPA archive mode or directory mode, depending on platform and configuration.

Remove the unused imports that Clippy reports.

Clippy reports IdeviceService and ReadWrite (Line 8) as unused. It also reports Read (Line 4) as unused. Read is only needed by the test module, which already pulls it in with use super::*. Remove the staged IPA when the upload fails.

The comment at Line 189 says the staged IPA must not stay on the phone. That cleanup runs only after install_with_callback. If afc.open, source.read, write_entire, or close fails first, the ? operator returns early. A partial IPA then stays in PublicStaging. A retry creates a new random filename, so the leftover files can add up on the device.

Run the upload in a block that returns a Result. Call afc.remove(remote_path) on error, and ignore any cleanup error.

One unreadable backup file stops every future cleanup sweep.

entry?, entry.file_type()? and fs::read(&path)? return an error for the whole sweep when one entry fails. A typical trigger is a root-owned or permission-denied .mobileprovision file in profili-salvati/. When the sweep returns an error, cleanup_backups_if_due never writes the stamp file. The daily loop then fails again each day, so expired backups are never removed. The doc comment and the README say that unreadable files are "retained". They do not say that such a file blocks cleanup of the other files.

Skip entries that fail. Keep the read_dir error propagation for the directory itself.

The Discord failure message contains a literal \n, not a line break.

"\\n" in a Rust string literal produces two characters: a backslash and the letter n. json! then escapes the backslash. Discord therefore shows the text AltKeeper: automatic renewal failed after retries.\n<error> on one line. Use \n instead.

Bound the Info.plist read by actual bytes, not the declared size.

The entry.size() check uses the ZIP header's declared uncompressed size. The zip decompressor does not use that value as an output limit. A malformed deflated entry can therefore produce more than 512 KiB, which read_to_end will buffer.

- 76:
Bound the decompressed output in the Info.plist read path before buffering it
fully: update the `entry.read_to_end` call to read at most 512 KiB plus one
byte, then reject the entry if the resulting byte count exceeds 512 KiB.
