The footer component displays the site-wide footer, including the institution's contact information, navigation menus, legal links, and social media links. It should be placed in the Footer region via Drupal Block Layout.

| Legal Menu | Legal menu block | Optional | Legal links such as a privacy policy or accessibility statement. |
| Social Media | UMD DS Social Icons block | Optional | Social media icon links. Requires the UMD Libraries Social Icons package to be installed. |
