Live Keyword Splitter for OJS

Live Keyword Splitter is a lightweight generic plugin for OJS 3.5 that turns comma- or semicolon-separated text into individual keyword tags as users type, paste, or press Enter.

Features

• Splits keywords separated by commas (,) or semicolons (;).
• Processes pasted keyword lists, including the final item without a trailing separator.
• Works in the Submission Wizard and publication metadata forms opened later from the Editor Dashboard.
• Targets keyword fields only, so other OJS autosuggest fields are unchanged.
• Supports dynamically rendered Vue forms without polling or jQuery.
• Loads a minified browser asset while retaining the readable JavaScript source.
• Requires no configuration after activation.

Requirements

• OJS 3.5.0-x

Installation

1. Download liveKeywordSplitter-1.1.0.1.tar.gz from the GitHub release.
2. In OJS, open Settings > Website > Plugins.
3. Select Upload A New Plugin and upload the downloaded archive.
4. Find Live Keyword Splitter under Generic Plugins and enable it.

Alternatively, extract the archive into plugins/generic/liveKeywordSplitter and enable the plugin in OJS.

Usage

Enter or paste a list such as:

public health, aging; quality of life

The plugin submits each completed value as a separate OJS keyword tag. Text after the last separator remains in the field until it is completed, while a paste or Enter processes the full value.
