The charger listed for the gaze17 is the incorrect charger. The physical tip connector is the wrong size.

The actual two model numbers that are compatible with this laptop were updated.

A17-150P2A is what we'd ship if a new charger is purchased.

Looking back in my notes, I didn't personally see the 150W variants' AC adapter, but a member of my team provided a photo to me of what they said was the AC adapter for the 3050 variant:

I'm a little suspicious of a change three years later. I'd like to dig around tomorrow and see if we have an A18-150P1A in the factory to confirm it's actually the wrong size (I see the Newegg listing that I think you're referencing with it being the wrong size, but Amazon has a different wrong size listed for a compatible charger, so I'm also suspicious of that). If anyone else finds one before me to confirm that, let me know.

Sager said the following when I just asked, hence why I proposed the change. Hopefully this helps.

What is the model number of the charger used for the gaze17 (3050 model)?

The 150W AC adapter model is either Chicony A15-150PIA or Chicony A17-150P2A

Is a Chicony A18-150P1A also compatible?

The Chicony A18-150P1A has 4.5x3.0mm tip. It does not fit the gaze17 5.5*2.5mm DC-in jack.

The hardware team may tell you something they have in stock rather than what was originally shipped. I'm very confused why we would've taken a photo of and posted the model number for the wrong charger, although it is very possible the team member who took that photo for me (who's no longer at the company) just messed it up really badly. There would be no questions at all if we can locate one of our chargers of that model number and see that it doesn't fit, so that's why I'd like to attempt to confirm the new info (or, rather, the inaccuracy of the old info) first. I'm not going to block this indefinitely if we can't find one, but I'd be most comfortable if there's no doubt.

Added Chicony before first model number. PIA was a typo from hardware team. Corrected it to P1A.

I found the gaze17 3050 in its box, with the charger that was listed here (A18-150P1A). Here's a photo of it plugged in:

We should keep A18-150P1A since that model number is correct and what actually shipped with at least some of these systems. We can add an alternative and a note that the model number doesn't imply the correct barrel size. I'll try to come up with verbiage for this.

I've added a note about the barrel size. It's a little long, but it's as succinct as possible if we're going to have a warning and not just tell people it's on them to read the specs before they buy something.

I also added another line with an alternative adapter model. I'm not a huge fan of this, as there are hundreds of possible alternatives, and our job isn't to list them all or a random one (it's just to provide the original and the specs for identifying compatible alternatives); but I'd agree it makes some sense on a case-by-case basis, since the original adapter has a lot more results come up with incorrect barrel sizes than correct ones.

@leviport You can review this one since I've re-done it. I'd prefer to merge myself so I can squash with a better commit message.
