Problem

The bundle id lists name apps the iOS simulator can't launch: Photos as com.apple.Photos, plus Mail, Notes and Camera, which it doesn't ship. In React Native forms in a ScrollView, the first tap after typing only closes the keyboard, which costs agents a retry.

Approach

Use Photos' real id, com.apple.mobileslideshow, and drop the others. Add a short keyboard note: tap again, or submit with enter.

Tests

  • iOS 26.5 simulator: com.apple.Photos failed to launch (FBS error 4), com.apple.mobileslideshow opened Photos; the installed app list has no Mail, Notes or Camera.
  • Keyboard: on one Expo app's login screen, agents lost a turn (sometimes a 10 s wait) on 11 of 13 runs without the note, 0 of 4 with it. They always recovered, so this is a small time saver.
  • Not checked: iOS 27.1, which has no Photos app on disk here.
  • Prettier and the tool-server tests pass. No docs page lists these ids.

Screenshots

…ing first tap

- launch-app and the device-interact skill listed com.apple.Photos, which
fails to launch (FBS error 4); the real id is com.apple.mobileslideshow
- device-interact skill: in React Native the first tap after typing often
  only closes the keyboard

📝 Walkthrough

The changes update common iOS app bundle ID examples and add guidance about taps outside a focused field in React Native scroll views.

Changes: Device interaction documentation

Common iOS app bundle IDs

The examples use com.apple.mobileslideshow for Photos and remove other listed bundle IDs.
React Native keyboard guidance

The guidance distinguishes tap behavior for keyboardShouldPersistTaps="never" from "handled" or "always". It advises checking the returned tree, retrying the tap, or pressing Enter when the field submits on return.

[Diplomat, Opus 5.5]: Ran the full sweep on 6159d95: claims vs code, nearest twin, non-happy paths, reachability, plus the absence pass. Bundle ids: read CFBundleIdentifier from every app in the installed iOS 18.5 and 18.6 simulator runtimes; all six ids left in both lists ship there, and com.apple.Photos, Mail, Notes and Camera do not. Grepped the repo for sibling bundle-id lists (other skills, rules, docs, tool descriptions, tests): none is left stale, the "no docs page lists these ids" claim holds, and nothing pins the changed text. Keyboard paragraph: checked against React Native's ScrollView _handleStartShouldSetResponderCapture (default never, a non-TextInput target is captured while the keyboard is up, handled/always let the tap through), and confirmed in argent's source that gesture-tap and keyboard both return the post-action tree and that enter maps to HID Return on iOS and KEYCODE_ENTER on Android; the § 8 reference resolves to run-sequence. Returned clean. Thank you for contributing!

I was suspicious about this, but it turns out com.apple.Photos was never a valid ID on prior iOS versions, it's only valid on MacOS. Thanks for the fix ❤️
