Article 12 — When the Model Refuses to Scale

Adds the next RESONANCE Issue 001 feature from the COSMIC ORGANICS / MORPHOS research chain and integrates it into the canonical Issue 001 journal index / operating line.

The article follows the full falsification path rather than presenting only the successful 2D result:

  • MORPHOS-0 spatial behavior
  • T1 temporal-memory repair
  • narrow 400-point robustness region
  • external-baseline ties
  • state-capacity collapse and mixed-state dead zone
  • T2 repair without full dominance
  • frozen 2D heterogeneous Pareto point
  • Generalization Gate
  • multi-seed 5×5 transfer PASS
  • 7×7 / 9×9 scaling FAIL
  • recurrent-baseline Pareto survival
  • next hypothesis: MORPHOS-S1 / Scale-Invariant Structural Dynamics

Journal integration

Issue 001 now also:

  • lists Article 12 in Published features;
  • adds the Article 12 interpretation paragraph;
  • inserts Article 12 into the canonical reading / execution loop before Engineering Signals;
  • records four operational invariants: local win ≠ scale-general property; frozen confirmation must not be retuned; negative evidence remains in causal history; generalization failure should raise the refactor scale instead of triggering endless scalar tuning.

Core editorial invariant:

A research agent must be able to make its own previous claim less true.

The article keeps the scientific boundary explicit: these are computational toy-model results; sampled attractor capacity is not exhaustive channel capacity, and transition count is not physical energy.

Source evidence surfaces:

Target: RESONANCE Issue 001 — The Age of Agents.
