Installation Instructions

• Clone the repository using git clone https://github.com/register-dynamics/compass-pdf-to-html.git
• I recommend setting up a virtual environment for Python using python -m venv .venv
• Activate the virtual environment with source .venv/bin/activate
• Download the python packages using pip install -r requirements.txt

** NOTE: for OpenDataLoader you will need Java **

Quickstart

• Navigate to the root folder

CD compass-pdf-to-html

• Copy the filepath of a pdf you have downloaded (examples can be found here: https://github.com/register-dynamics/dhsc-compass-alpha-procurement-prototype/tree/main/app/assets/pdf)

• From your CLI run

python main.py path-to-pdf-file.pdf

• You should find an HTML file in the output directory.
• Open the HTML file with a browser of your choice.
