How to run this app:
DO THIS FOR ONLY MAC USERS
MAKE SURE NOTHING IS RUNNING ON PORT 500
Start the backend:
python backend.pyc
Start the frontend:
npm start
Notes from Ritik (check):
- Make sure you update npm/node (my npm is 6.14.4 and node is 12.16.1). Run 'npm install' to make sure you have the right node_modules
- If you want to add a new screen, make sure to add a route to it in App.js and look at the Login/Register screens for an example for how to link to it using react-router-dom
- Leave the top (ugly) bar for easily navigating between pages
- focus on modularity for react --> if you can break something up into components do it and pass params back and forth
- Try to do PURE or CLASS programming instead of FUNCTIONAL programming (look up https://medium.com/@Zwenza/functional-vs-class-components-in-react-231e3fbd7108#:~:text=The%20most%20obvious%20one%20difference,which%20returns%20a%20React%20element.) it's just more modern and more commonly used today (also more modular <3)
This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.
In the project directory, you can run:
Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in the browser.
The page will reload if you make edits.
You will also see any lint errors in the console.
Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.
The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

Note: this is a one-way operation. Once you eject, you can’t go back!
If you aren’t satisfied with the build tool and configuration choices, you can eject at any time. This command will remove the single build dependency from your project.
Instead, it will copy all the configuration files and the transitive dependencies (webpack, Babel, ESLint, etc) right into your project so you have full control over them. All of the commands except eject will still work, but they will point to the copied scripts so you can tweak them. At this point you’re on your own.
You don’t have to ever use eject. The curated feature set is suitable for small and middle deployments, and you shouldn’t feel obligated to use this feature. However we understand that this tool wouldn’t be useful if you couldn’t customize it when you are ready for it.
