Metals writes one metals.sbt per level of sbt's meta-build (project/metals.sbt for build.sbt, project/project/metals.sbt for sbt files under project/, etc.), so the nested ones currently show up as untracked. Metals recommends gitignoring metals.sbt anywhere in the file tree.

Airstream already uses the unanchored form: .gitignore#L10.

Metals generates one metals.sbt per level of sbt's meta-build: project/
metals.sbt for build.sbt, project/project/metals.sbt to support sbt files
under project/, and so on. Only the first level was ignored, so the nested
ones showed up as untracked files.

Metals' own gitignore recommendation is the unanchored `metals.sbt`.
