Build - ci(publish.yaml): admit install.cjs to the package boundary The pack job diffs npm pack's file list against a hardcoded allowlist, so shipping install.cjs in f8ac7bf made it reject the tarball. Staging for v2.0.1 stopped there and nothing reached npm. workflow_dispatch runs the workflow from the dispatched ref, so v2.0.1 cannot be restaged against the corrected list. Build - fix(install.cjs): skip the native build where the binding is never loaded lib/index.ts loads the addon only when process.platform === "win32", so running node-gyp-build anywhere else compiled something nothing would load, and failed outright wherever node-gyp was not on PATH. That stayed hidden because pnpm 11 exposed its own bundled node-gyp to lifecycle scripts. pnpm 12 stopped, so the wasted build became ERR_PNPM_EXECUTOR_LIFECYCLE_SCRIPT_FAILED and broke installs on macOS and Linux. Build - build: rebuild the dev toolchain on node-gyp and Node built-ins Mocha and prebuildify each dragged in a large dependency tree to do what Node and node-gyp now do natively, and the old build script silently reused a stale .node file whenever one already existed.
