Specialty: Close gaps found by mapping agents against AI agent commerce signals (Neil Patel) and daily SEO operational patterns (Nathan Gotch)

Motivation

Systematically audited all marketing agents against two recent analyses of how AI systems evaluate, cite, and transact through websites. Found 7 gaps across 4 agents.

From AI agent commerce analysis (how AI shopping agents evaluate sites):

  1. Content freshness as explicit signal — No agent mentioned "last updated" dates, refresh cadence, or stale content as a trust killer for AI agents. Freshness was implicit but never actionable.
  2. Accessibility = AI visibility — The parallel between WCAG/ARIA practices and AI parseability was absent. Same infrastructure serves both audiences, but no agent made the connection.
  3. Agent commerce readiness — Agents covered being found and cited by AI, but not being transacted through. AI shopping agents (ChatGPT shopping, Google Universal Commerce Protocol) evaluate structured pricing, inventory APIs, and transaction completion paths — none of this was addressed.

From daily SEO operations analysis (high-leverage daily actions for SEO + AEO):
4. URL stability rule — No agent warned against changing URLs on pages already ranking positions 2-15.
5. Content splintering technique — The method of finding intent-mismatched keywords (position 50+) on performing pages and creating dedicated assets was absent.
6. Unlinked mentions as AI signals — SEO Specialist treated unlinked mentions only as link conversion opportunities. The independent AI citation value of mentions on retrieval sources was missing.
7. Knowledge base system for content production — Brand voice was mentioned but the structured knowledge base concept (brand facts + POV + customer language + reusable stats) for grounding every asset was implicit at best.

A daily operational cadence was also missing — no agent prescribed a sustainable rhythm of optimization, publishing, and outreach that compounds over time.

Commit 1: Freshness, accessibility, commerce readiness

SEO Specialist (marketing-seo-specialist.md)

  • Added Content Freshness checklist to On-Page Optimization: dateModified in structured data, quarterly refresh cadence, stale data removal, freshness signal for AI agents

Content Creator (marketing-content-creator.md)

  • Added Content Freshness for AI section: visible update dates, year-tagged H1 titles, refresh cadence by content type, methodology sections with data collection periods

AEO Foundations Architect (marketing-aeo-foundations.md)

  • Added Accessibility = AI Visibility section: table mapping 7 a11y practices (ARIA, semantic HTML, alt text, form labels, heading hierarchy, keyboard nav, skip-nav) to concrete AI agent benefits. Conclusion: WCAG 2.1 audit = high-ROI AEO action
  • Added Agent Commerce Readiness section: what AI shopping agents evaluate (structured pricing, inventory signals, comparison-ready specs, reviews in schema, transaction paths), commerce audit checklist, applicability table by business type (e-commerce → lead gen → content)
  • Expanded Wave 3 checklist with commerce and accessibility prerequisites

Commit 2: Splintering, daily cadence, unlinked AI mentions, knowledge base

SEO Specialist (marketing-seo-specialist.md)

  • Added URL stability rule in Meta Tags checklist: never change URLs on pages ranking positions 2-15
  • Added Content Splintering technique in Keyword Research Framework: find intent-mismatched keywords at position 50+, create dedicated pages with 1:1 intent match, interlink to support parent
  • Adjusted low-hanging fruit range from 4-20 to 2-15 with splintering candidates at 50+
  • Added Recommended Daily Cadence table: 1 optimization + 1 new asset + 5-10 outreach per day, with automation opportunities noted

AI Citation Strategist (marketing-ai-citation-strategist.md)

  • Added Unlinked Mentions as AI Signals section: explains why mentions without links still influence AI recommendations, provides 6-step workflow for mapping retrieval sources and identifying promotion opportunities

Content Creator (marketing-content-creator.md)

  • Added Knowledge Base & Brand Voice System section: how to build a structured KB (brand facts, POV, customer language, reusable stats), define brand voice (tone, banned phrases, before/after examples, per-channel adaptations), and integrate into production workflow

  • Cross-referenced all changes against both source analyses (6 AI agent signals + 3 daily SEO actions)
  • Verified no overlap with existing content or with prior AEO awareness PR (aeo-awareness-pr)
  • Confirmed all additions follow existing agent style: checklists, tables, actionable items with clear deliverables
