Summary

Adds AI Dictation to Voice & Multimodal with one under-100-character description and a direct source link.

Eligibility

  • Locally executable: offline speech recognition runs on the device on supported platforms; after the local model is ready, recognition does not require an internet connection.
  • No cloud dependency for that workflow: cloud transcription and cloud cleanup are optional and can be disabled. The project explicitly distinguishes offline recognition from a fully offline workflow.
  • Open source: native client source is MIT-licensed.
  • Actively maintained: the repository has current commits and releases, including v0.0.97 from July 30, 2026.
  • No account gate for initial core use: current Apple and Android clients support anonymous local usage, and the Windows onboarding allows sign-in to be deferred.

Disclosure

I am affiliated with AI Dictation and am submitting it openly rather than presenting this as an independent recommendation. The entry and PR text were prepared with AI assistance and checked against the current source, releases, and this repository's contribution guide.
