Submit the OpenLoomi Claude Code and Codex plugins to the official Anthropic / OpenAI plugin marketplaces

Goal

Get the openloomi Claude Code plugin and the openloomi Codex CLI plugin listed in the first-party / official plugin marketplaces that ship with each agent runtime, so end users can install OpenLoomi with a single short command:

Both plugins are stable at v0.8.6 (Apache-2.0) and have been in production for a while. Listing them in the official marketplaces removes one of the two install steps and gives OpenLoomi a real "Just Works" moment for first-time Claude Code / Codex users.

Background

• Repo: melandlabs/openloomi
• Plugin source trees:
  • Claude Code — plugins/claude/ (manifest at plugins/claude/.claude-plugin/plugin.json, version 0.8.6, Apache-2.0)
  • Codex CLI — plugins/codex/ (manifest at plugins/codex/.codex-plugin/plugin.json, version 0.8.6, Apache-2.0)
• Current distribution channel: the slim public mirror melandlabs/plugins, which only fetches the plugin payloads (a few MB) instead of the full openloomi monorepo. The fat-monorepo problem is already fixed (see closed [P1] Plugin marketplace add still clones the full openloomi monorepo (~ hundreds of MB) instead of only the plugin (~ 2 MB) #396).
• README quickstart already documents the install flow and links to the slim marketplace as the current public channel.
• Related tracking issue: Support installation as a Claude Code / Codex / Copilot / OpenCode extension/plugin #226 (broader "install OpenLoomi as a plugin" umbrella, also labeled plugin + tracking).

Scope of this issue

Track and drive the official-marketplace submissions end-to-end:

1. Pre-flight

   • Confirm both plugin manifests match each marketplace's metadata schema (name, version, description, license, repository, homepage, keywords, capabilities).
   • Confirm both plugins pass the respective local validator (Claude Code: claude plugin validate / Codex: codex plugin validate or equivalent) and there are no outstanding lints.
   • Run a clean install from the slim melandlabs/plugins marketplace on macOS, Linux, and Windows and capture screenshots / logs for the submission attachments.
   • Make sure both README pages (plugins/claude/README.md, plugins/codex/README.md) include the official-marketplace install path once it goes live.

2. Anthropic — Claude Code official plugin marketplace

   • Identify the official submission process (PR to a marketplace repo, vendor portal, or email-based review) and document the link in a comment here.
   • Prepare the submission package: short pitch, screenshots of install + /openloomi:setup, repo URL, license, signing/identity, privacy posture, hook surface description.
   • Submit and track the review thread (link the Anthropic ticket / PR here).

3. OpenAI — Codex CLI official plugin marketplace

   • Identify the official Codex plugin submission process (registry, vendor portal, or GitHub PR to the Codex marketplace repo) and document the link in a comment here.
   • Prepare the submission package mirroring the Anthropic one, adapted for the Codex marketplace schema (interface.* block is already populated in plugins/codex/.codex-plugin/plugin.json).
   • Submit and track the review thread (link the OpenAI ticket / PR here).

4. Post-approval

   • Update README.md, README-zh.md, README-ja.md, and the getting-started.mdx / plugins/*.mdx pages so the official install path is the primary one and the slim melandlabs/plugins path is documented as a fallback / dev channel.
   • Add a short release note to the next plugin release (bump 0.8.6 → next) noting first-party availability.
   • Keep melandlabs/plugins alive as the dev / canary channel; add a note in both READMEs about how to install from the dev marketplace (e.g. claude plugin marketplace add melandlabs/plugins) for users who want pre-release builds.

Acceptance criteria

• An OpenLoomi user on a fresh Claude Code install can run a single command (/plugin install openloomi) and get OpenLoomi set up.
• An OpenLoomi user on a fresh Codex install can run a single command (codex plugin add openloomi) and get OpenLoomi set up.
• The slim melandlabs/plugins marketplace keeps working as the canary / dev channel.
• Both submission tickets (Anthropic and OpenAI) are referenced from this issue with their final status.

Out of scope (for now)

• Submitting OpenLoomi to other marketplaces (Cursor, OpenCode, Hermes, etc.) — track separately if needed.
• Re-platforming the plugin payloads out of melandlabs/plugins — that mirror stays as the dev/canary channel.
• Any new product surface — this is purely a distribution / packaging issue.
