Review Summary
Great job implementing the core logic for transforming the state! The use of the spread operator for cloning is well done.
However, a couple of changes are needed to meet the project's requirements:
- Error Handling: The
defaultcase in yourswitchstatement is currently empty. This violates the checklist requirement to handle potential errors [CHECKLIST ITEM #3]. To fix this, please throw an error for any unknown action types to prevent unexpected behavior. - Variable Naming: The variable
stateCopyis used for the array of state history, which can be confusing. A more descriptive name likestateHistorywould better reflect its purpose and align with the naming conventions outlined in [CHECKLIST ITEM #5].
Once these adjustments are made, your solution will be good to go!

This violates checklist item #5: '[NAMING] - use proper names for object copy'. The variable stateCopy is used for an array that stores the history of states, which can be confusing. A more descriptive name like stateHistory or resultStates would better reflect its purpose and align with the example in the task description.

This violates checklist item #3: 'switch/case should always have default case for error handling'. The default case is currently empty, which means any action with an unknown type will be silently ignored and the state from the previous step will be added to the results. It's better practice to handle unknown action types, for example, by throwing an error to prevent unexpected behavior.

Review Summary
Excellent work on this revision! I am approving your solution as you've successfully addressed all the previous feedback, resulting in a clean and robust implementation. Your code now correctly handles all requirements, including proper error handling for unknown action types and ensuring state immutability by creating copies. The use of descriptive variable names and a well-structured switch statement makes the code easy to follow. Great job!
