There is one issue in genai sdk for this version bump, I've reported the issue - googleapis/python-genai#310

I thought this was blocking us, but it's not. I was able to just apply the model fix in our codebase and things are working.

Hi Jayesh,

Currently, Google Multimodal API with RealtimeModal also throws error with VertexAI set to True.

It would be interesting to see if this genai version upgrade would resolve the issue. Do we know when this change will be deployed? Or any way to testthe VertexAI connection with latest version?
