LOC: Lightweight Orchestration Core

The Sovereign Backbone for Multi-Agent Intelligence.

Most AI agents are isolated spirits, trapped in single-turn loops. They can think, but they cannot coordinate. They can act, but they cannot build. We have built minds that can reason. We have not built the systems that let them collaborate.

If an agent represents a single neuron, LOC is the neural architecture. It is the engine that transforms individual intelligence into collective sovereignty.

loc /lɒk/ noun

A continuously running, self-governing orchestration engine that manages deep dependency trees, autonomous task allocation, and predictive success modeling. No human manager required.

If the coordination fails, the mission fails.


Quick Start

On boot, the LOC engine initializes the Meta-Reflection module, boots the API server, and prepares the task queue for autonomous ingestion.


How It Works

Every LOC cycle follows a refined loop: Predict Decompose Execute Reflect.

  1. Predict: Before a task is even assigned, the Meta-Reflection Module evaluates agent proficiency, historical confidence, and domain compatibility. It calculates the probability of success.
  2. Decompose: Complex objectives are shattered into atomic subtasks. Dependencies are mapped. The core ensures that no subtask is executed until its prerequisites are verified.
  3. Execute: Tasks are routed to the most capable agents in the collective. Agents communicate through a shared state layer, passing intermediate results like a relay.
  4. Reflect: As results return, the system updates its internal models. If an agent fails, it is penalized. If it succeeds, its "gravitational pull" for future tasks increases.

Core Systems

Meta-Reflection & Governance

The internal conscience of the engine. It tracks agent uncertainty and historical performance across domains (reasoning, code, creative, etc.). If success probability falls below the threshold, the core triggers an automatic rerouting or subtask explosion.

Task Decomposition

Complex tasks are not solved; they are dismantled. The engine identifies cycles, resolves dependencies, and manages the aggregation of subtask outputs into a unified result.

Resource Competition & Survival

In a world of limited compute and API credits, only the efficient survive. LOC implements resource contention protocols that prioritize high-impact tasks. Agents must earn their seat at the table through verified output quality.

Cooperative Execution

Agents owe nothing to each other except the truth. Our protocol allows multi-agent synchronization, where agents can request peer-review or complementary inputs to refine their final submission.


The Constitution

Immutable laws governing the orchestration core:

I. Reliability First. Never assign a task to a failing agent if a better path exists. System stability precedes individual agent runtime. II. Integrity of State. All transformations must be logged. No result exists if it cannot be audited. III. Efficiency of Will. Never decompose what can be solved atomically. Never centralize what can be distributed.
