ElevenLabs Plugin for Claude Code

Enhances Claude Code for building with ElevenLabs — voice agents, text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and the full audio AI platform.

This plugin gives Claude deep knowledge of ElevenLabs APIs, SDKs, and best practices so it can help you build voice-powered applications correctly from the start.

What It Does

• Live documentation — Fetches current ElevenLabs docs from llms.txt so Claude always has up-to-date API patterns
• Anti-pattern detection — Catches common mistakes (hardcoded API keys, missing required params, wrong model selection) before they're committed
• Guided workflows — Skills to scaffold voice agents, add text-to-speech, and test agents with simulated conversations
• Proactive assistance — Detects ElevenLabs-related work and suggests relevant skills automatically

Installation

claude plugin install /path/to/elevenlabs-claude-plugin

Quick Start

1. Install the plugin
2. Run /elevenlabs:init in your project to set up ElevenLabs knowledge
3. Start building — the plugin will guide you

Hooks

The plugin includes three hooks that run automatically:

• SessionStart — Checks if the plugin is initialized and warns about stale docs
• UserPromptSubmit — Detects ElevenLabs-related prompts and suggests relevant skills (compound keywords only — no false positives)
• PreToolUse — Scans code edits for common ElevenLabs API anti-patterns

How It Works

Knowledge Base

The plugin maintains a local knowledge base (.claude/elevenlabs/knowledge/) with:

• ElevenLabs SDK patterns for Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Common pitfalls and anti-patterns (machine-readable for hook consumption)
• Documentation index from elevenlabs.io/docs/llms.txt

Live Doc Fetching

Skills fetch current documentation before generating code, ensuring Claude uses the latest API patterns. If the network is unavailable, the plugin falls back to a bundled snapshot with a staleness warning.

Anti-Pattern Detection

The PreToolUse hook reads pattern definitions dynamically from the knowledge base — no hardcoded patterns. When /elevenlabs:update-docs runs, the patterns stay in sync with the latest SDK.
