Nextcloud App not working after update to 32.0.0 / cospend still accessible with moneybuster app mobile

Hi,

my nextcloud cospend integration is not working anymore after the update to 32.0.0.

it looks like this now:

if i click something like statistics this is the output:

the nextcloud logs has this messages related:

The moneybuster app is working as expected and i can access the project.

Has someone any idea what's happening here?

This might be a cache issue on the server side. Have you tried restarting the php-fpm service (if you are using it) or the webserver?

I am not using the php-fpm service. I restarted the complete server.

Looking at the log extract you provided, it is a mistake. Fixed now. v3.1.6 is on the way. It will be available in a few minutes in the appstore (max one hour). Can you confirm v3.1.6 works?

Can you replace line 54 of cospend/lib/Middleware/UserPermissionMiddleware.php?

From
throw new CospendUserPermissionsException($this->l->t('Insufficient access level'));
to
throw new CospendUserPermissionsException($this->l->t('Insufficient access level') . ' - ' . $userId . '@' . $paramProjectId . ' | ' . $methodName . ' : ' . $userAccessLevel . ' < ' . $minLevel);

And then reload the page and get the error message again?

Here is the new error message after replacing:

This is very weird. The project ID is not passed correctly at some point. Can you check the network request made by your browser?
F12 -> network tab -> filter: "/bill" -> give me the URL (you can remove the hostname) of the request that should end with /bills?....

I think i found it - in private mode it works.

This is the URL:

/ocs/v2.php/apps/cospend/api/v1/projects/jionnik/bills?offset=0&limit=50&reverse=true&deleted=0

and this is found in the URL:

{"error":"Strict Cookie has not been found in request"}

After deleting the Website cookies it worked.

Damn i could have thought about testing it in a private browser window.

So it was related with some cookie policy change in 32 and your cookies that were created before the upgrade survived too long after the upgrade? A bit annoying. Well thanks for your patience and for staying positive.

I encountered this issue too. Thanks for the report and investigation.

I didn't think about using the network inspector before seeing this and when I opened it, cospend loaded. It may be related to me having "Disable cache" on. A force-reload may be enough in practice but now I can't test that anymore. :)

You may want to display a more visible notice somewhere since I only found this after browsing closed issues on github which are not shown by default.
