In order to use this patch, first download simplesim-3.0 (make sure its named like this) change directories to the directory that contains simplesim-3.0. Download the patch to that directory. Run the following at the terminal: patch -p0 -i simplesim3_OSX.patch

A quick hack to get SimpleSim 3 to work on OS X. Note: All of the academic benchmarks run with this modification (i.e. gcc, anagram, compress95, go)
