I’m Jean Emmanuel CADET, a Full-Stack Software Engineer focused on building high-performance websites and web applications that help businesses grow.
I started programming in 2018, initially working with JavaScript, React.js, and PostgreSQL. A few years later, I discovered Ruby on Rails, and it quickly became my preferred framework for building robust, maintainable web applications. Today, I primarily work with Ruby on Rails, Hotwire (Turbo & Stimulus), PostgreSQL, and SQLite, while also leveraging modern frontend technologies when a project calls for them.
Before transitioning into software engineering, I spent over 13 years in the media industry, including 5 years as a Technical Director. I led technical teams, helped build a streaming platform used by millions, and managed large-scale infrastructure and technology projects. That experience shaped the way I approach software today: with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, problem-solving, and delivering results.
Today, I build scalable, user-centered websites and web applications for businesses and organizations, from modern business websites to custom platforms and internal tools. I’m passionate about clean architecture, thoughtful user experiences, developer experience, and solving real-world problems through well-crafted software.
