This patch proposes a couple of usability enhancements:

  • make the final_span element contenteditable, to make for a better user experience. Gives the user the ability to edit text after it has been input through speech recognition, or just simply input text with the keyboard if he so wishes.
  • seamless updating of the language. Now if you change the language while speech recognition is active, the recognition engine will update the recognition language accordingly. The engine stops and restarts without the user even noticing.

removed stray <p> element, fixed conflicting var
1) switch between languages while speech recognition is active, and it will seemlessly update the recognition engine with the new language;
2) add speech synthesis for feedback on input
3) make the final results span editable by the user, so that it seems more like a textarea
