What
Scopes the Claude Dark theme and coral status bar to the sandbox variant only, and expands the template with additional extensions, plugins, and pre-commit hooks.
Why
Both devcontainer variants were visually identical (Claude Dark theme + coral status bar), removing the signal that distinguishes the restricted sandbox from the unrestricted default. The default variant was also overriding user theme preferences synced via Settings Sync. Additionally, the sandbox set the Claude Dark theme but didn't install the extension providing it.
