The update notifications for k8s and OS versions for a force-upgrade which is about to happen can be misleading.
In this notification on my cluster, it seems that the upcoming force upgrade is a direct consequence of the fact that the k8s version will expire in 11 months, which seems a bit "strict" ;)
In fact, when looking at the available k8s versions, the reason seems to be that the patch version this cluster is using is deprecated and there is a newer patch version for the same minor release available with the classification of supported and the cluster has maintenance.autoUpdate.kubernetesVersion: true
