Use Cases
Especially useful for YouTube + playlists:
- Videos from a "music" playlist can clutter your watch history.
- If you use GrayJay as a music player and don't disable history sync, YouTube will start recommending a lot of random music videos.
Another use case: if you have a subscription group with animals and memes, once you watch it to decompress, you can say goodbye to your carefully calibrated recommendation algorithm.
Now YouTube will only recommend you cat videos.
And in general, I don't want Google to connect everything I watch to my account, so it would be nice to have more granular control over what gets synced with YouTube watch history and what doesn't.
