"Ready to cast" on Fire TV Stick but content does not play

What happened?

Running GrayJay on my Pixel 9 Pro w/ GrapheneOS, and running FCast on a Fire TV Stick 4K Max 1st Gen

It seems I can connect to FCast just fine from GrayJay - When I open FCast is says "Waiting for a connection" until I initiate casting in GrayJay. Both apps indicate that I'm connected - FCast says "Connected: Ready to cast" with a checkmark underneath, and GrayJay shows media controls when I tap the cast button again.

However, when I start playing a YouTube video, nothing happens on the TV. GrayJay isn't playing the video - it's stuck at 0:00 and playing/pausing does nothing. FCast still just says "Ready to cast".

Replication steps

1. Connect to FCast from GrayJay
2. See that FCast and GrayJay indicate a connection has been made
3. Attempt to play a YouTube video
4. See that the video does not play either in GrayJay or FCast, and that the media controls do nothing
