Why should your student join the ESHS Robotics club?

Experience

Through the ESHS Robotics club your student will have many opportunities to learn and develop various real world skills in STEM(Science Technology Engineeering & Math) & non-stem career pathways. These opportunities range from learning how to network a computer system, designing a large 150 pound robot, or making miniature bots the size of a shoebox.

It's not all science and technology

Although the primary focus of the Robotics club is to inspire students to join the field of science and technology, members also have the opportunity to branch into non-stem departments. Students who are interested about learning the business side of STEM can join the Public Relations & Marketing department where they will learn and apply business skills anywhere from building and maintaining a brand to pitching local businesses for sponsorships.

Valuable Student Members and Amazing Mentors

Members

The El Segundo Robotics Club is filled with dedicated members. These members span across all groups of the Robotics club, constructing an environment of "I can't wait to build some robots!" Some members are veterans who have been in the club throughout all four years of high school; others have recently joined their Freshman year and are eagerly awaiting to get started.

Mentors

Our mentors are dedicated to teaching all members of the club the real world skills they use in the professional world. The insights they give into the fast-developing world of STEM and years of knowledge they bring are a key part in the success of our team. The robotics club welcomes mentors of all ages and backgrounds (Once they've gone through the district approval process).

What is required?

Entrance Fee

The El Segundo Robotics Club mandates that every student must contribute a 50 dollar entrance fee. The authentication of the 50 dollar fee will allow the Robotics Club to maintain their environment of learning and knowledge base, contributing to the student's S.T.E.M. experience. In addition, the club fee will increase the efficiency of students participating in the club by providing vital funds for the purchase of machines, marketing materials, supplies and other equipment.

Parent Signature Sheet

Parents must sign a sheet, documenting that he or she allows his or her child to participate in the El Segundo Robotics Club. The signature form, along with the 50 dollar entrance fee are submitted together to the Robotics Club.
