Is the goal to convert these all to markdown? What's their relationship to the rest of the project documentation? |

Yes, in a next step. But probably not as it is now. (This way it does not give me syntax errors when I open them ;-) |

I'm content to leave this PR open as you make progress on it. The docs seem to have lasted for quite some time in their outdated state, so taking time to fully convert them is fine with me. |

I guess you could squash and merge it. That way it can be normally consulted with a browser. |
