Lifecycle of TMS
The lifecycle of TMS can be separated in 4 periods:
- Topics proposals period
- Application-Selection period
- Working on a thesis period
- Complete of thesis period
- Topics proposals
In this period, the externals and the students can propose a thesis topic to the professors, and wait for their approval(moderated access). If some professor accept a proposal , and externals,students comfirms, the thesis topics is enabled. The professor can create a thesis topic with unmoderated access.
- Application period
Students apply for thesis topics of their university, so they create a request. The professor can accept requests to their thesis and then a notification is send to the student who applied. After, the student should confirm the request and then we have a connection between the triplet (Student,Professor,Thesis) , meaning that the Thesis whose owner is Professor is assigned to the Student. Moreover the Professor can invite two more Professors in order to supervise.
- Working on a thesis period
Students can upload drafts and receive feedback from the supervisors(eg from google docs) .
- Complete thesis period
Students submit their final thesis and is shared with the other Supervisors. After that, the thesis is submitted in the digital repository.
