It might be a bit mixed with the mct_river_mask. From this branch only the profiler-related files are meant to be kept. The script creates a small csv with all the points downstream of a selected point. The csv includes the coordinates and the extracted value from the provided nc file. The points are also ordered.
This is only for diagnostics and not used at this stage in any part of the suites, so there is no need to be included at this moment, if it messes things with the other branches.
