Goal

Make first-use practical without requiring users to understand raw contract/receipt internals. This is a scoped usability improvement, not a production-readiness claim.

Changes

  • Add read-only contribkit check command that prefers an available upstream Git base and warns on HEAD fallback.
  • Show findings grouped by blockers, human-review items and suggestions, with next actions.
  • Support PR body, JSON receipts, output files and optional explicit test execution using the existing preflight engine.
  • Retain advanced preflight, MCP tools and receipt schemas unchanged.
  • Add first-use regression tests and development-only documentation.

Boundaries

This PR does not solve onboarding research, complete UX, external adoption, shell completion, GitHub UI integration or stable publication. Verify CI before merging.
