Product Vision

Our team’s short-term vision and goal(s) for this project are to develop an application that is viable and useful to all incoming TU freshmen. This app is intended to be an easy and clean interfaced interactive map that can show freshmen how to get to their class and what each building looks like. (maybe from different perspectives)

After MVP is done, we plan to work and give an update to the app that: allows each building to show what classes are available here; what the building category falls under (ENS, Athlete Facilities, Business, etc); Professor/TAs office hour and room number within a building, and how to get there (maybe an internal map within each building), etc.

TU currently has too many apps for different things, and sometimes it gets a little annoying having to switch from app to app or just to find something in general. So a couple of our team’s other long-term goals include (1) integrating an event calendar; (different event list for students/faculty/visitors) (2) Outlook email; (3) Food ordering services.

All of us went through the confusing process of trying to find our classes as freshmen. Sometimes even being late to things because you don’t know the difference between “Old U” and “New U”. This app is intended to help anyone that is unfamiliar with the TU campus to find exactly where they need to go based on either a class name, Professor name, event name or building name.
