The capybara is the internet's most beloved animal. 10 billion TikTok views. 4.2 million "capybara emoji" Google searches. But Unicode still has no expressive capybara face emoji. We're fixing that.
Cats have 9 face variants. Dogs have body AND face. Bears have a face emoji. The capybara? Just a silent side-body profile. No emotions. No expressions. Nothing.
This project creates what Unicode hasn't: 80 emotionally expressive capybara face emojis covering the full range of human emotion.

The capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) is native to South America. It is the world's largest rodent and has become the internet's universal symbol of calm and acceptance. This project honors the animal's South American origins while making it available to the entire world.
