Storing constants in the lookup hash causes problems in Rails environments in development mode. Because the constants get unloaded and get a new
object_id
– you can run into issues with the class simply not being found. This changes the lookup logic to store a string representation of the constant, and does anObject.const_get
to load it. This is similar to how Sidekiq works which does not encounter issues with development mode and reloading constants.
