Conversation
We have deployed dragonfly on 20k+ hosts in DiDi production enviroment, maybe the next step is to try the Nydus to reduce the time it takes to start a container. Thanks a lot for d7y community for such a amazing project. |

Awesome! |
Kuaishou Container Platform have embraced with Dragonfly and Nydus for a long time. Nearly more than 200,000 hosts in Kuaishou benefit it's delivery efficiency. Dragonfly is playing an important role in cloud native ecosystem. Thanks to Dragonfly community‘s effort. |

Great job. I believe that |
+1! |
Nydus, as a sub-project of Dragonfly, also provides underlying capabilities to accelerate dependency installation for npm package management. Recently, we have initiated the open-sourcing of our internal solution: https://github.com/cnpm/rapid. In the future, we aspire to see Dragonfly continue its development under the community's impetus, offering support for a broader range of scenarios. 🎉🎉🎉 |

Dear Dragonfly folks (@gaius-qi), we (the TOC) have reworked the process(es) a bit since this PR was filed, Can you please review the latest in: There's a slightly longer form/issue to fill in: @nikhita and I will continue to be your TOC sponsors on the new issue as soon as it is filled out. We can also answer any additional question you have on our kick-off call this Thursday, June 27. |
This is the formal proposal for dragonfly graduation. Dragonfly joined the CNCF as a sandbox project in October 2018 and became an incubating project in April 2020. In January 2020, Nydus became a sub-project of Dragonfly and was widely used for image acceleration. In April 2021, the Dragonfly v2.0 was released after architectural optimization and code refactoring.
After an extensive period of development and production experience, Dragonfly is not only used in image acceleration, but also has many use cases in file distribution and AI model distribution.
The project maintainers believe that Dragonfly is ready for graduation and are looking for a TOC sponsor.
