PR description

This PR is a back-port of #48660. The inclusion of the changes described in the original PR will allow more muon DPG analyses to take advantage of centrally (and privately) produced ntuples.

PR validation:

Beyond performance studies reported in the original PR, the ntuples were validated issuing runTheMatrix.py -l 2500.242,2500.243

A new Pull Request was created by @battibass for CMSSW_15_0_X.

It involves the following packages:

  • Configuration/PyReleaseValidation (upgrade, pdmv)
  • DPGAnalysis/MuonTools (xpog)
  • PhysicsTools/NanoAOD (xpog)

This pull request is fully signed and it will be integrated in one of the next CMSSW_15_0_X IBs (tests are also fine) and once validation in the development release cycle CMSSW_15_1_X is complete. This pull request will now be reviewed by the release team before it's merged. @mandrenguyen, @rappoccio, @antoniovilela, @sextonkennedy (and backports should be raised in the release meeting by the corresponding L2)
