Also, There was a problem hiding this comment. Choose a reason for hiding this commentThe reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more. The above link that doesnt resolve is not given in my request. Here is one that works Ssl autoinstall is standard in cPanel. The Ssl that are for sale are advertised with price and they are NOT let's encrypt. The Lets Encrypt ones are «shown discretely» in the link below, after the text "escala tu proyecto" Thanks for your review. There was a problem hiding this comment. Great, that first link is a perfect example of the "tutorial" category, since the user has to click buttons to enable it. Since buttons must be clicked before the certificate is added, that means this is "partial" support. There was a problem hiding this comment. The topic of tutorials was something I did not bring in the original request The ssl service is given without asking the user. All domains are given ssl https service automatically. The tutorial is there for people who want deeper understanding only mentioned after you mentioned some url not responding. There was a problem hiding this comment. Ok, then is there a page that specifically states that certificates are automatically activated? The page titled "¿Cómo activar mi Certificado SSL gratuito en cPanel?" seems to have instructions for activating a certificate. It sounds like you're saying this is usually done automatically. Is there a page with evidence that this is the case? There was a problem hiding this comment. Choose a reason for hiding this commentThe reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more. The certs that are advertised with price are the ones that one must activate manually. The let'sencript certs are automated vía a specific plugin included with cPanel. https://docs.cpanel.net/knowledge-base/third-party/the-lets-encrypt-plugin/ I have automatic updates for the 7 years of my hosting and every new domain I add, it's automatically given SSL let's encrypt certs. At this link under AutoSSL you will read that the activation by the hosting provider refers to notification of auto renewals. In my particular case, because I have a subdomain hosted at my home, the hosting neubox emails by this function as a reminder that they have issued the new cert, keys and ca-bundle for me to do the manual update. (The IP of my server, updated by dyndns, not matching the hosting's ip reveals to the plugin , which certs need my attention) But all other updates within the hosting happen by automation via this plugin and no mail is sent to me about all other domains and subdimains. Is that cpanel plugin installed and activated by default on this hosting service? If so, is there a page that says that? Those both appear to be documentation pages for the general cpanel plugin. Can you please put a working link in the announcement category then? |

Perhaps I am missing something, but this page makes it sound like it is necessary to take steps to install the certificate? That would be "partial," not "full."

Not at all. The issuance of certs per every domain and subdomains (*. Domain.tld) is fully automatic Neubox, is, a USA name with Office in Mexico; Only certs that are intalled at IPs assigned by Dinámic IPs outside of the Neubox datacenter, require one to do a manual or semi auto intall.
The unresolving link is not provided in my request. It might come from incorrect search engine results
The «automated cPanel Lets Encrypt service» is free, but vagely advertised , trying to sell other ssl with brand names.
I've enjoyed them for 7 years without problems. More below
