this pr still has changes from old commits that we already merged which means this base branch #9 is behind main.

this is currently not breaking anything but in the future you should rebase all your branches with main and make sure your code is up to date before creating a new branch/rebase to make sure new branches have all current code/no conflicts.

Thanks yeah, I made too many changes all over the place with this one, will stick to one template per PR in future
