I'm currently using your code on one script of my, the problem is I'm getting a lot of warnings when using ruff, most related to reportArgumentType. Wanted to improve a bit the type hints of your methods (input and output) in order to reduce the warnings in my code.
Made for just one of your methods to check if you think it's ok to make this change everywhere.
