this is clever! the lines end up getting pretty long which i don't love but the output is super useful and i love the "opt-in" nature of it - merging! thank you |

This is a pattern I use whenever I touch a
Makefile. It turns the comments from each target into themake helpas long as they are prefixed with a double hash (##). This allows regular comments to be ignored so you can effectively opt into the documentation process.
