v0.9-beta.2

This release tags the current pre-refactor `master` branch before the major NextGenSandbox workflow refactor is merged.

Use this tag if you need the existing beta workflow behavior, configuration style, and directory layout for reproducibility or ongoing work. The next release will introduce major changes to configuration, resource layout, model instances, calibration setup, observations/plugins, launcher behavior, and documentation.

This is a beta stability checkpoint, not the final refactored workflow.
