TL;DR: merged old and new name (change in first name) to one author page with 44 papers total (canonical name: Flammie A. Pirinen), also recorded ORCID. Didn't find any namesakes, checked metadata-PDF for inconsistencies. Along the way changed author-order or names if inconsistency noticed.

ToDo:

• add id or not?
• check same person for papers (again)

Questions to reviewer:

• what to do about papers not loading / without authors in PDF to check? what happened there btw?
• how to deal with frontmatters to proceedings? Which list counts?

Note to user: which one new site, use ORCID if possible, for changing name on old papers need paper revisions to be submitted because PDF content is viewed authoritative, so metadata needs to be in line with PDF.

  • consistent topic, affiliations, email addresses
• check metadata vs paper
  • ❓ didn't load: 2015.eamt-1.45.pdf . Curiously, W15-4944.pdf (with nearly same metadata from authors to title to venue) loads but has no authors... (paper page 2015.eamt-1.45 vs W15-4944 )
  • ❓ for proceedings I wasn't always sure which list counts as author list. Maybe need further corrections e.g. for 2021.iwclul-1.0 and 2020.iwclul-1.0
• make consistent: A to first rather than last name
• ❓ add id or not?

Canonical name

Canonical name: didn't state in the issue explicitly, but

• said changed name and older papers have Tommi while newer ones have Flammie
  • on own website said "You can search some of my academic papers under my old name Tommi Pirinen"
• Flammie also on his own website and ORCID listed at the top
• majority of papers have "A" put to first name, corrected those where it was part of last name
• decided for the most specific variant
• on OpenReview also listed as preferred: "Flammie A Pirinen"
• email mentioned on ORCID page suggests A stands for Antero, also found as alternative name on OpenReview. But never seen it written out on papers, always abbreviated to "A." or missing completely.
