My previous PR was total mess, so i have to recreate branch with new try. |

@aanatoly does not seem to be on the internet anymore. Maybe it's time to fork ? |
I think the same |

Hi @eleksir, I see you've archived your fork (https://github.com/eleksir/fbpanel). Aren't you going to maintain it anymore? |
|
Great question. Some time ago i just removed it from my setup and never feel any discomfort about it's absence. So i decide freeze my fork for unknown period of time. One of the notable issues with this panel that troubled me is relatively high memory usage. It is less than gtk2-flavoured xfce4-panel, though. But still pretty notable. (look like java-style programming style is a little bit memory hungry) In my setup i3bar with custom perl script works, well... bearable. And i also figured out how to "emulate" launcher buttons on it. So it covers all my needs now, except for keyboard layout stuff. But it looks like i need custom switcher with active window monitoring here, so maybe, one day i'll make this out of xxkb or something. |

Ah, I see. I was searching for a panel that isn't dependent on the desktop manager (DM), and it seems xfce4-panel and i3bar are specifically tied to certain DMs. Have you had any experience with tint2 by any chance? |
